Karnal: An accident took place on Saturday afternoon at ITI Chowk in Karnal, in which a speeding Thar and Bolero collided with each other. The Bolero car hit the Thar from behind, due to which the Thar driver lost balance. The car went out of control, hit the divider and overturned on the highway, flipping three times.
The Thar was completely damaged in the accident. The Bolero was also damaged, but luckily there was no loss of life in this incident. The injured Thar driver was immediately admitted to the hospital after the accident, where he is undergoing treatment.
The Thar overturned three times after the collision
Eyewitnesses said that the accident was very scary. Both the vehicles were coming from Chandigarh and going to Delhi. The Thar which was moving at a high speed was suddenly hit by a Bolero from behind. The collision was so severe that the Thar driver lost control of the vehicle. The Thar directly hit the divider and then overturned three times and landed on the highway. The airbags opened during the accident, due to which the driver’s life was saved. If the airbags had not opened, he could have suffered serious injuries.
Passersby Shubham, Sunil, Yogesh and others said that as soon as the collision took place, there was a loud explosion and the Thar overturned. People nearby immediately reached the spot and pulled out the driver trapped in the car. During this time a crowd gathered there and people informed the police about the accident.
Both Thar and Bolero were damaged
In the accident, the Thar car was badly crushed from the front and top. People were stunned to see the condition of the car. At the same time, the Bolero was also damaged, but the people sitting in it did not suffer any injuries.
Police reached the spot and took the vehicles into custody
As soon as the incident was reported, the Dial 112 team reached the spot and informed the local police station. Soon the police also reached the spot and took stock of the situation.
