Haryana: The body of a youth has been recovered from Narwana Branch Canal in Mirzapur, Kurukshetra. The team of driver Pragat Singh took the body from the canal and handed it over to the police.
The deceased was identified as 35-year-old Shingara Singh, resident of Lukhi. It is being told that Shingara used to drive an auto. Shingara Singh had got a visa on work permit for Italy a few days ago.
The deceased’s brother Charanjit Singh told that his younger brother Shingara Singh had suddenly gone missing. Three days ago, his auto was found near the canal in Lukhi, about which he informed the police. It was suspected that his brother had committed suicide by jumping into the canal. Because he did not want to go abroad. Since then the police and family were searching for him in the canal. The police had also informed diver Pragat about the matter.
Charanjit Singh said that his brother himself had filed the file to go to Italy. He also got a visa on his work permit for Italy. But he was afraid of going abroad. He had refused to go out. Due to this he was troubled for 2-3 days. Due to this problem, he committed suicide by jumping into the canal.
Diver Pragat Singh said that he had received information about a dead body floating in the canal near Jyotisar. He immediately reached the Mirzapur bridge with his team. His team took out the body from the canal and informed Dial-112. The police reached the spot and handed over the body to the police. At present the police has sent the body for post-mortem.
