Haryana: The chairperson seat of Panipat Zila Parishad in Haryana, which has been lying vacant for three months, will remain vacant. The Punjab and Haryana High Court had given instructions to conduct the chairperson election today i.e. on June 7 at any cost. According to the rules, these elections can be conducted by the DC or ADC of the district.
But, the ADC is already on leave. But, at the last moment in the morning, DC Virendra Kumar Dahiya’s health suddenly deteriorated. He did not reach the office. But, as per the time, 13 councilors had reached the DC office. On reaching here, they came to know that the DC will not come. After this, the CEO told them about the DC’s ill health.
After the election was postponed for the second time, anger was visible among all the councillors. The 13 councilors who reached the DC office expressed their anger in their own words. District Council Deputy Chief Congress’ Suresh Arya Malik said that this is a political conspiracy, because after the removal of the BJP chairperson, efforts are being made to postpone this election in some way or the other.
When the elections were to be held on this seat which was vacant for 3 months, the administration had taken time at that time. Now when the elections were to be held on the orders of the High Court, the DC’s health suddenly deteriorated. BJP wants to stop these elections at any cost till the code of conduct is imposed before the assembly.
On March 6, 13 out of 17 councilors removed BJP’s Jyoti Sharma from the post of chairperson. After that, to avoid another defeat of BJP in the midst of the Lok Sabha elections, the election of the chairperson was not held. The councilors also had to go to the High Court to remove the chairperson from the post.
After the order of the High Court, a meeting was called on March 6 on the no-confidence motion. After this, when the administration did not fix the date for the chairperson election, the councilors once again went to the High Court. When the High Court sought a reply, the date of June 7 was fixed.
Jyoti Sharma became the chairperson on 27 December 2022. Then she defeated JJP-supported Ward-13 Kurad’s Zila Parishad Kajal Deswal by 9-7 votes. Since a no-confidence motion cannot be brought before a year. Therefore, after the completion of one year, on January 25, 2024, 12 councilors brought a no-confidence motion.
Meanwhile, Rohtak MP Deepender Hooda is also reaching Panipat today.
Congress is preparing to celebrate Vijay Utsav with Kajal Deshwal today.
In this program of Zila Parishad Vice Chairman Arya Suresh Malik, Kajal Deshwal’s husband Sandeep Deshwal is also likely to reach Hooda’s stage.
After removing Jyoti Sharma from the post on March 6, MP Deepender Hooda had come to the office of Vice Chairman Arya Suresh Malik at night. Today, Suresh Malik has organized Vijay Utsav in Sector-29 The Royal Mansion Garden. It is being said that the program has been organized on the victory of the MP, but it is being linked to the chairperson election, because, Kajal Deshwal’s husband Sandeep Deshwal can also be on Hooda’s stage. Regarding this, Sandeep Deshwal said that Suresh Malik is his brother, he will definitely go to his program.
