Haryana: The corporation will give the contract for cleaning the main markets of the city at night. The corporation will soon issue tender for this. A budget of about Rs. 3.25 crore has been kept for cleaning at night.

This tender will be issued for two years. After the tender, the markets will be cleaned at night.

The main commercial markets in the city are Baldev Nagar, Kalka Chowk, Jagadhari Gate area, Vikas Vihar, Kapad Market, Manav Chowk, Sectors.

Many of these markets remain open till late at night. Due to which dirt spreads in the markets after evening and when the showroom operators and shopkeepers come to the market in the morning, they do not find cleanliness, so now the employees will work for cleaning at night.

In the past months, the Municipal Corporation has held house meetings.

In these house meetings, the councilors also raised the issue of cleanliness in the main markets so that the markets can be found sparkling in the morning. The councilors said that the shopkeepers demand that cleaning should be done at night so that they find cleanliness in the markets in the morning. At the same time, now the proceedings are going on regarding this project. The tender will be floated soon. The corporation employees clean the markets in the morning, due to which this work continues till 10 am in many places. The employees will clean the markets at night when the markets are closed.


The main markets in the city include Sector-1, 7, 8, 9 and 10 markets.

Along with this, the area of ​​the cloth market is also quite large. People from Haryana, Punjab and Himachal Pradesh come to the cloth market for shopping and trucks also keep coming with goods throughout the day. Due to this there is a need to clean the roads and markets till evening. After the contract is done, the agency employees will clean the markets at night.


A tender is to be issued for cleaning the city markets at night at a cost of about three and a quarter crores. The process is going on regarding this.
