Rao Narbir Singh was elected MLA from Badshahpur on a BJP ticket in the 2014 assembly elections. He was a minister in the Manohar Lal Khattar-led government, but the party cut him in the 2019 elections. Rao Narbir was a contender for the ticket from Badshahpur in 2019, but the party expressed confidence in Manish Yadav as a new face instead of him. However, Manish Yadav lost to Rakesh Daulatabad, who contested as an independent, by more than 10,000 votes.
Apart from Rao Narbir in the BJP, Manish Yadav is also a contender to contest from Badshahpur seat once again. Jawahar Yadav, who was OSD to former CM Manohar Lal Khattar, is also contesting from this seat. Apart from these three, Aarti Rao, daughter of Union Minister of State Rao Indrajit Singh, and former Mayor Vimal Yadav are also in the race for the ticket.
Despite the long list of contenders, the way Rao Narbir Singh is active here, it is clear that he has decided to jump into the electoral fray. If BJP does not give the ticket, the possibility of him joining Congress cannot be ruled out. Congress leader and Mahendragarh MLA Rao Dan Singh is his relative.
