The Chandigarh administration had asked for a panel for the new home secretary about two months ago. But now the panel has been given by the Haryana government. Which will be sent to the central government. From there, the name of any one officer will be appointed.
Chandigarh’s former Home Secretary Nitin Kumar Yadav’s 3-year tenure in Chandigarh was completed. Therefore, he has been called to the center by the central government. He joined the Central Government as Joint Secretary on June 14. Since then, the responsibility of the Home Secretary has been given to Dr Vijay, who was earlier the Finance Secretary, and after his departure, this post has also been lying vacant since June 19.
Amit Agarwal’s name is being considered for the post of Home Secretary in Chandigarh. Amit Agarwal is currently in the Chief Minister’s Office. He has been working here since the time of former Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar. But Mandeep Brar’s claim is also being said to be strong.
He has also been the DC of Chandigarh between 2018 and 2021. Mandeep Brar played a good role during the Corona period. Because of this, there is also a good claim for his appointment.
