Haryana: The mood of the weather in Haryana’s Rewari district changed completely after Saturday afternoon. People who were facing severe heat for the last month got some relief for a few moments. While the city remained cloudy with cold winds, there was drizzle in other rural areas including Bawal. Due to this, the temperature has dropped.
Since May 3, people in the entire district have been facing severe heat. The heat was such that the maximum temperature remained around 45 degrees for 25 days of May. A record temperature of 47 degrees Celsius was recorded a day earlier. The Meteorological Department had predicted a change in the weather from June 1.
Like every day, people had to face intense heat from Saturday morning to afternoon. There was a sudden change in the weather around 3:30 in the afternoon. Dark clouds covered the sky and cold winds started blowing.
There was also a drizzle with strong winds in the Bawal area and near by places like Gurugram. Weather expert Dr Chandramohan said that now the change in the weather has started.
Till June 3, partly cloudy weather will prevail and strong winds at the speed of 20 to 30 kmph, thunderstorms and scattered drizzle will be seen at some places. Therefore, the Indian Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert in the entire area during this period. Due to this weather system, there will be relief from the scorching heat and severe heatwave in the region and a slight drop in temperature will be seen.
