Panipat: The police have caught the criminals who robbed 4 lakhs at gunpoint in the Mitra branch of Punjab National Bank (PNB) in Baljit Nagar in broad daylight three days ago in Panipat city of Haryana. The police have arrested six criminals from the gang. In which two criminals were involved in the recce.
The criminals were caught by the police in the fields of Sonipat on the night of June 16. They will be presented in court today, where an attempt will be made to take the criminals on remand. SP Ajit Singh Shekhawat will give information about this entire case in a press conference at 4 p.m..
The criminals have an old criminal record. where serious crimes like murder and robbery are also registered against the criminals. Three to four incidents of panipat have been revealed by the criminals. In which the incident of robbing a car from a refinery employee about 5 days ago has been revealed.
It was 10:36 am on June 14. Pradeep, brother of Mitra branch operator Harish, has said that he has employed some people. He opened the branch that morning. The same people were present at the time of the robbery. Pradeep said that shortly after the employees opened the branch, four miscreants arrived on bikes.
The robbers intimidated the employees in the branch as soon as they arrived.
All the robbers had their faces covered. They showed the pistol to the employees and asked them to pick up the bag and put all the money in it. At first, the employees resisted a bit, but as soon as the miscreant fired a shot towards the ground, the employees got scared.
After this, the robbers picked up the bag, put the money in it, and ran away on foot. Pradeep says that while coming out, he had a scuffle with one of the miscreants. The rest of his companions left him and ran away.
However, that miscreant also ran away after hitting Pradeep’s arm with a sharp weapon (sua). Pradeep has said that the miscreants had already done a complete recce. While running away, they left their bike behind. However, on the way, they also looted a Platina bike at gunpoint, on which all four criminals fled away.
