There were 550 votes in the village, but no one went to the polling booth to cast their vote. Two days ago, District Deputy Commissioner Captain Manoj Kumar and Superintendent of Police Gangaram Punia had gone to the village to convince the people. But people did not listen to him. The demand of the villagers was that until a bridge is built on Yamunanadi towards village Shahzadpur, no one from the village will vote. To come to Yamunanagar, the people of the village have to come through Uttar Pradesh.

But no person from the village came to vote and kept sitting in his chaupal and planning the future strategy. During this time, DDPO Narendra Singh went to the village to convince the people. But people did not listen to him and completely boycotted voting. Till evening the officials kept trying to convince the villagers.
Villager Kalu Ram and Sarpanch Arun Kumar told that there is no way for the people of the village to go to Yamunanagar. People have to go through Uttar Pradesh to reach their city Yamunanagar. Due to lack of bridge on Yamuna river, they have to travel 40 kilometers to reach Yamunanagar. If a bridge is built on Yamuna river near village Shahzadpur, then this journey of seven kilometers will be reduced. He has been demanding construction of a bridge on Yamuna Nadi for many years, regarding which he has met Minister Kanwar Pal Gurjar and administrative officials. But no one listened to him. Due to which they had to take the decision to boycott the elections.
CTM Piyush Gupta said that the administration had appealed to the people of the village to vote. But he did not agree. Due to the code of conduct being in place, no work can be done right now. After the code of conduct is over, the demands of the villagers will be conveyed to the government. The problems of the villagers will be solved.
