Theft at transporter’s house; gold, silver jewelry along 7.5 lakh cash stolen

Police have registered a case of theft against an unknown person at Agroha police station.

Hisar: Thieves stole gold and silver jewellery worth about 9.5 lakh rupees and cash worth 7.5 lakh rupees from a house in a village in Haryana’s Hisar district. The house owner is a transporter and on the day of the incident, he had gone to pay obeisance at Narhad Dargah with his family. Police have registered a case of theft against an unknown person at Agroha police station.

In a complaint to the police, Aslam, a resident of village Kalirawan, said that he lives in the village with his family. He is in the transport business. On December 4, he had gone to pay obeisance at Narhad Dargah with all his family members. He had locked the house properly. Aslam said that on December 6, he returned home from Narhad with his family at night.

He said that when we came home, he saw that the lock of the big room inside the house was broken. The lock of the cupboard kept in his room was also broken. After that, he suspected that maybe someone had entered the house and committed theft. When he checked the gold, jewellery and money kept in the house, they were not found. He said that 10 tola gold (100 grams) and 2 kg silver jewellery were stolen from his house. Also, 7 lakh 50 thousand rupees cash were kept which he could not find.

He suspected that on the night of 5-6 December, some unknown person entered his house and stole gold, silver and money. On the complaint of Aslam, a resident of village Kalirawan, Agroha police have registered a case against an unknown person for breaking into the house and stealing gold and silver jewellery and cash. An investigation of the case has been started.
