Chandigarh: Three new laws have come into force in the country. After this, the process of sending summons in Chandigarh is also being made online. In such a situation, now the employees will not go to people’s homes with summons. Rather, summonses will be sent on their phones. For this, an e-summon app has been created. The employees have been trained so that this process can run smoothly. The trial process is going on. According to sources, Home Minister Amit Shah can launch this system during his visit in August.
According to the information, when any summons is issued from the court, then it will be uploaded to the e-summon app by the court staff. From there, a copy will be sent to the mobile number of the accused through WhatsApp and a mobile link. The second copy will reach the concerned summons officer.
The officer will decide whether the copy of the summons has reached that person or not. For this, he will also verify by calling. If still there is any problem, then help from telecom will also be taken for this.
It is often seen that when the court employee goes with the summons, either the person hides his identity or refuses to take the summons. In such a situation, it takes a lot of time for the court hearing. After this system, the summons will arrive immediately after just one click of the app. Many times the employees were also misbehaving. After this system, such incidents will also not happen.
