Panchkula: Today, there is a demonstration of employees associated with the National Health Mission (NHM) in Panchkula, Haryana. A large number of employees from various districts of the state are protesting outside the Sector 2 National Health Mission office in Panchkula. During this, the employees raised slogans against the government. The employees are making many demands, including regularization, by requesting a policy from the government.
The employee leaders said that, keeping in mind the services given by the NHM employees for 25 years, the government should make a policy for them and regularize them by following the guidelines given in the PIP of 2013 to 2014. Till the time the policy of regularization is made, they should be provided with service security, social security, economic security, ex-gratia, and appeals and punishments as per the Haryana Civil Service Rules.
It was told that on November 2, 2021, the Chief Minister had given in-principle approval to give the benefit of the 7th Pay Commission to NHM, but it is with great regret that it has to be told that till now NHM has not been given the benefit of the 7th Pay Commission. The strike done by NHM employees from 2017 to 2022 should be considered a duty period, and their salary should be released. Talks should be held with the union to correct the errors and salary discrepancies remaining in the service rules.
Along with this, they demand that the SOP of the CHO cadre be implemented under the Ayushman Bharat Yojana. Also, the bond practice should be abolished. The employees working in NHM for whom a dress code has been implemented should be given a uniform allowance and a laundry allowance. NHM employees should be provided increased CL, EL, and CCL promptly on the lines of regular employees.
