Chandigarh: Congress’s newly elected MLA Vinesh Phogat took the oath of office and secrecy in the assembly today (25 October). During the oath-taking ceremony, Vinesh reached the assembly in a sportsman’s attire, which is in a lot of discussion. On this, Vinesh said that ‘I am a player, I want to remain a playerand I have come with that feeling.’
After taking oath in the assembly, Vinesh Phogat raised the slogan ‘Jai Kisan, Jai Jawan, Jai Haryana, Khelte Khiladi Latte Naujawan Zindabad’. Seeing her raising the slogan, the acting speaker was also seen smiling. Vinesh has been elected MLA for the first time from the Julana assembly seat. She has been in a lot of discussion due to reaching the final of the Olympics. She joined the Congress just before the assembly elections.

Phogat had won the Julana Assembly seat in Haryana assembly polls, defeating the Bharatiya Janata Party candidate (BJP) Yogesh Kumar, according to the Election Commission of India. The former wrestler secured a victory with a margin of 5,761 votes
