A sub-inspector (SI) travelling in a car died after colliding with a tractor-trolley near village Jharoth toll plaza on Rohtak road. He was posted on emergency response vehicle (ERV). He met with an accident while returning home from duty. Police have started an investigation into the matter.
SI Ramniwas (55), originally a resident of Subhash Nagar, village Pasour Hall, Jhajjar, Jhajjar district, was posted on ERV in Sonipat police station Sadar. He was returning home in a car after completing his duty late on Thursday night. When he reached ahead of Jharoth toll plaza, his car collided with a tractor-trolley.
Ramniwas was badly injured in the accident. He was taken to the government hospital in Kharkhoda, from where he was referred to PGI Rohtak due to his critical condition. His family admitted him to a private hospital in Rohtak. There he died during treatment.
Police, who arrived after receiving information about the matter, have started investigation into the matter. As soon as the news of the accident was received, a wave of mourning spread in the police department. Fellow officers said that he was dutiful, honest and cooperative in nature.
