Treatment worth Rs 1.5 lakh free in Haryana during road accidents, CM Saini sends instructions to all districts

Under this scheme, free treatment of up to Rs 1.5 lakh per person will be provided for every road accident for a maximum period of 7 days from the date of the accident.

The government has given a big relief to those injured in road accidents in Haryana. The government will now provide free treatment of Rs 1.5 lakh to the injured in road accidents. Haryana Police has started this new initiative in compliance with the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways.

Under this scheme, free treatment of up to Rs 1.5 lakh per person will be provided for every road accident for a maximum period of 7 days from the date of the accident. In this regard, Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Hardeep Doon has issued a letter to all the concerned officers and districts of the state and directed to strictly follow it.

Director General of Police Shatrujeet Kapoor (DGP) said that making the roads of the state safe for the common people is one of the priorities of the Nayab Saini government of Haryana, in such a situation, it is necessary to prepare a better and effective action plan and work on it to reduce road accidents. In this episode, the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has started providing free treatment to the person injured in a road accident.

He said that this pilot project will be implemented jointly by the National Health Authority in collaboration with the local police and hospitals contracted by the State Health Department.
