Roof collapse in Sirsa due to heavy rain: 2 died, 3 injures, Pedestrians trapped

Sirsa: Two youths died and three were seriously injured when the roof of a compound collapsed on the Sultanpuriya road of Rania in the Rania of Sirsa district of Haryana due to rain after a sudden change in weather late last evening. The injured have been admitted to the Community Health Center Rania, where their condition remains critical. One of the two deceased youths is said to be Dalveer, the son of Roshan Lal, the son of a retired police employee; the other youth has not been identified yet.

According to the information, a compound was built near a liquor shop on Sultanpuriya Road in Rania, whose roof was temporarily made of reeds. The roof of the compound collapsed due to heavy rain late last evening. During this, Dalveer Singh, son of Roshan Lal, was returning home from his work; he stopped in the compound due to heavy rain. At this time, some other people were also present in the courtyard. The roof collapsed due to heavy rain as it was made of mud. Two youths died on the spot in the accident; three others were seriously injured. The injured have been admitted to the general hospital for treatment. According to doctors, the injured are undergoing treatment.
