Attempted rape incident in Narnaud, Police investigates

A case was registered at the Narnaund police station on July 10 under serious sections of POCSO.

Hisar: In a village in the Narnaund area of Himachal Pradesh, a middle-aged man tried to rape a two-and-a-half-year-old innocent girl. The victim’s family is angry as the Narnaund police station has not arrested the accused in the case. The family met with the SP regarding this. Hansi SP Maqsood Ahmed has assured the victim’s family that the accused will be arrested as soon as possible.

In a village in the Narnaund area, a 50-year-old man from the village picked up a two-and-a-half-year-old girl and took her to a deserted place. There, he tried to rape the girl. The girl started crying after seeing his act. After this, the family reached the spot and rescued the girl from the clutches of the accused. In this case, a case was registered at the Narnaund police station on July 10 under serious sections of POCSO and the Indian Penal Code. The accused is still absconding.

Due to the non-arrest of the person who attempted to rape the girl, the family members, led by National Alliance for Human Rights convener Rajat Kalsan, reached SP office Hansi on Monday and submitted a memorandum regarding the arrest of the accused. SP assured the victim’s family that the accused would be arrested within 2 days.

Lawyer Rajat Kalsan said that law and order have collapsed in the entire state of Haryana, including Hansi police district. Incidents of rape, murder, and ransom are happening continuously. Kalsan said that even in the serious case of attempted rape of a two-and-a-half-year-old girl, the police are sitting idle. Efforts are being made to save the accused. Due to this mentality of the police, incidents of crime are increasing in the state.
