Weather in Haryana: 4 degree surge expected; Heat wave looms by 16 May

At present, there is no hope of relief from the rising temperature till May 19. The weather will remain dry. There is no possibility of respite from the heat till 18-19 May. In view of the signs of change in the weather, the department has also issued an advisory for the people.

The effect of western disturbance is over
According to the meteorologist of Hisar-based Chaudhary Charan Singh Agricultural University, the western disturbance had an impact on the state recently.

Due to western disturbance, winds were entering the state from the mountains. Due to this the temperature was being recorded close to normal. The day temperature had reached 38 degrees. But now the effect of western disturbance has ended. This will also change the direction of the winds. The wind direction will now turn west.

The Meteorological Department will soon give an update about how the weather will be after 19.

According to Chandigarh Meteorological Department, 39.3 degrees in Ambala, 41 degrees in Hisar, 41.3 degrees in Narnaul, 41.1 in Rohtak, 42.3 in Bhiwani, 42.6 in Sirsa, 39.6 in Faridabad, 40.2 in Gurugram, 41.8 in Jhajjar, 39.6 in Karnal, 39.6 in Sonipat. 40.6 degree temperature was recorded in Mewat, 38.5 in Panchkula and 40.2 degree in Chandigarh.

Night temperatures are below normal
Generally, the night temperature was recorded below normal in every city of the state on Sunday. The night temperature in Ambala was recorded at 23.7 degrees, which was 0.1 degree less than normal, whereas, the temperature was 24.4 in Hisar, 22 in Karnal, 27 in Mahendragarh, 25.4 in Rohtak, 28.5 in Bhiwani, 25.8 in Sirsa, 26.8 degrees in Faridabad.

The Meteorological Department says that the night temperature will also start increasing from Tuesday.

How long does the heat wave last?
Heat waves generally occur in the months of May and June. In very extreme circumstances, there are chances of heat wave in the months of April or July. Generally, heat wave occurs when the temperature is five degrees more than normal.

  3. Cover your head with cloth, cap and umbrella.
