Weather expert Dr. Chandramohan said that the western disturbance, which became active on June 2, moved ahead by Thursday night. Its effect was seen on Friday. During this time, the weather remained clear since morning, due to which people had to face strong sunlight in the afternoon. People got some relief from the heat only after sunset.
On Friday, the day temperature increased by 4.2 degrees as compared to Thursday. Despite this, the maximum temperature in most districts remained below normal. The maximum temperature in Rohtak was recorded at 41.5 degrees, which was the highest in the state. At the same time, an increase of up to 4 degrees was also recorded in the minimum temperature. The minimum temperature in Jind was 22.5 degrees, which was the lowest in the state.
The weather will remain like this in the future
The temperature will increase continuously till June 12. During this time, the temperature in western districts is likely to go up to 45 degrees. Along with this, heat wave conditions may also arise. In a day or two, the direction of the winds will change from north to west. On June 12, a new disturbance will become active, due to which a low pressure area will be formed over central Punjab, which will lead to rain activities in the northern districts of the state.
