Tragic death in Panipat: Young man electrocuted by street light while heading home from work

Panipat: While crossing the road in Shastri Colony of Kishanpura in Panipat city of Haryana, the young man got an electric shock when he snatched the street light placed between the dividers. Due to this, he fell on the ground and became unconscious. Local people immediately took him to the civil hospital, where he was.

Here, based on the statements of the family members, the police got the post-mortem done and handed over the body to the family. The family has accused the Electricity Corporation of negligence.

Gurkaran, wife of the deceased Mangal (35), said that she got a call that her husband got an electric shock. Due to this, he died. He used to work as a mason in the blanket market located on Kishanpura Road for many years. On Wednesday evening, he was returning home from work. Here, while crossing the road, his hand touched the grill. As he touched the grill he got electrocuted and died.

Mangal was the father of three children. He was the only earning member of the family. Local people said that accidents due to electric shock happen frequently. Complaints have been made to the electricity corporation many times. But the responsible people do not pay attention to this. Last week also two dogs died due to an electric shock here.
