Karnal: A young girl went missing under suspicious circumstances from a colony in Gharaunda, Karnal, Haryana. The girl used to work as a sweeper in a house in the neighbourhood. The girl’s mother has accused the landlady of eloping with a young man to marry him.
The landlady is involved in her daughter’s disappearance. A complaint has been lodged with the Gharaunda police station. The police have registered a missing person report on the basis of the complaint and started an investigation.
The girl’s mother said that she is the only daughter in the house, the girl also has a brother. The 20-year-old girl works as a sweeper in a house in her neighbourhood. On June 8, at around 3 o’clock, the girl left the house saying that she was going to work, but did not return home till late evening.
After which her mother’s concern increased. She reached the girl’s workplace, but she was not found there. The complainant mother asked the landlady about her daughter but she clearly said that she did not know anything about her daughter.
The mother of the girl has alleged that the landlady used to give wrong education to her daughter and used to get expensive things for her without permission. She also used to say that she will get her married to someone known to her. On 8th June at 3 o’clock my daughter left the house saying she was going to work. Today itself I got a silver ring, clothes, slippers and other things for my daughter.
She was taken to her house and decorated and my daughter was sent to marry a boy. When the landlady was asked where is our daughter, she said that she had sent her home. The complainant told that she searched for her daughter at her level but could not find any clue anywhere. Later she complained about the matter to the police.
Investigating officer of Gharaunda police station Binder told that a complaint has been received about the girl’s disappearance. The woman of the house where the girl used to work has been accused. On the basis of the complaint, a case has been registered and investigation has been started. Further action will be taken as per the facts that emerge.
