Fatehabad: A young man was stabbed to death on Monday night in Fatehabad, Haryana. The incident took place in the sports grounds of Government College, Bhattukalan. After this, both of them started attacking each other with knives.

The former councillor was also injured in the attack. He has been referred to Agroha Medical College. On the complaint of the deceased’s brother, the police have registered a case of murder against four unknown people, besides the injured, by naming two other people.

The deceased has been identified as Amit Kumar (37), a resident of Bhattu. Amit’s brother Virendra told the police that Amit’s brother-in-law takes contracts for road construction in Dabwali. Amit used to work with him. Two years ago, Mahipal borrowed one lakh rupees from him who also lives in Bhattu.

Amit was constantly demanding money from Mahipal. Mahipal used to tell Amit that he would not give money until your friend Rajkumar asked me to give money. His brother had several arguments with Mahipal, Rajkumar, and another Vishal regarding this matter.

Virendra said that Amit had come to Bhattu from Dabwali on Monday. As soon as he came home, Amit said that the three had called him to give him money.

When Virendra reached near the railway line, he saw that his brother was held by Mahipal and Vishal, and Rajkumar was attacking his brother with a knife.

There were 4-5 other people also there.

When he raised an alarm, the accused fled. Then, with the help of an ambulance, his brother was taken to the hospital, where he was declared dead.

Police had registered the complaint against them and started an investigation into the case.
