Ministry Of Health And Family Welfare’s strict orders: Companies should not make false claims of A-1, A-2 on milk products

New Delhi:  The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has adopted a strict attitude towards the companies making false claims of A-1, A-2 on their milk products like Desi Ghee, Butter, Curd and Milk etc. The Ministry has issued a letter and strictly instructed the food business operators who make milk products on commercial level.

New Delhi:  The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has adopted a strict attitude towards the companies making false claims of A-1, A-2 on their milk products like Desi Ghee, Butter, Curd and Milk etc. The Ministry has issued a letter and strictly instructed the food business operators who make milk products on commercial level to remove such claims from the packaging of their products with immediate effect.


The Ministry has issued a notice to all the milk product manufacturing companies registered with FSSAI that they should remove their A-1 and A-2 claims from the packaging and advertisements within six months and send their reply to the Ministry.

Ministry Of Health And Family Welfare says milk and ghee companies claiming their products are A1/A2 are misleading.  Asked companies not to advertise with such claims.
