Several patients from city are admitted in private hospitals.  Civil Surgeon Dr. Surinderpal Kaur confirmed 53 patients suffering from diarrhoea and said that now only five patients suffering from diarrhoea are admitted with them, who are being treated. All the rest have been discharged after treatment.

Sources said that the problem has occur after the strike of Municipal Corporation staff. After the problem of garbage heaps everywhere.  It is also being told that a woman and a 4-year-old child died under suspicious circumstances due to this disease. On the other hand, the health department and municipal corporation team are taking action to test the water in the affected areas.

Start Water Supply Through Tankers

Civil surgeon said that the water samples have also been taken from the affected areas and sent for testing. The health department team is supplying water through water tankers in the affected areas. District administration has become active after the outbreak of diarrhoea in some areas of the city. SMO Dr. Sandeep Dhawan said that it is believed that the garbage heaps and rain water mixed together around Bakkarkhana Chowk, Mehtabgarh, Sundar Nagar and Mehndi Chowk of the city and went into the taps of the houses.
