Heat will increase during Holi and Dhulandi, heatwave alert issued in March

Barmer: Premature heatwaves have begun to affect Rajasthan. On Saturday, most cities across the state experienced clear skies and bright sunshine throughout the day. Temperatures in many places were well above normal, causing people to experience heatwave-like conditions in early March.

Temperatures surpass 35 degrees Celsius

Fatehpur in Sikar recorded a maximum temperature of 35.3 degrees Celsius, the highest in the state. Barmer also reached 35 degrees Celsius.

Maximum temperatures in Sriganganagar, Pilani, and Bikaner were recorded about 6 degrees above normal. In the afternoon, some areas in Churu, Jaipur, and Alwar were covered with light clouds, leading to a slight humidity.

Heat wave continues at night

The capital, Jaipur, Barmer, and Phalodi experienced heatwaves even at night. Minimum temperatures in these cities were recorded above 20 degrees Celsius.

The minimum temperature was recorded at 21.2 degrees Celsius in Phalodi, 21.4 degrees Celsius in Barmer, and 20 degrees Celsius in Jaipur.

Temperatures to Rise Further on Holi

According to the Meteorological Center, Jaipur, there is no significant change expected in the weather over the next two days. However, temperatures may rise by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius on Holi and Dhulandi.

The temperature in most cities is expected to remain between 31 and 37 degrees Celsius in the first week of March. Heatwaves are also expected in many areas from the third week.
