Heat rises in Rajasthan, mercury crosses 36 degrees

Jodhpur: The heat in Rajasthan is intensifying as the sun’s heat increases. For the second consecutive day, the maximum temperature was recorded above 36 degrees Celsius. On Wednesday, temperatures in most cities in western Rajasthan ranged between 33 and 37 degrees Celsius.

Even at night, the minimum temperature in many cities was recorded at 16 degrees Celsius or above. According to the Meteorological Department, the weather will remain clear in the state for the next week, and temperatures may rise further due to bright sunshine.

Heat above normal in western districts

In the last 24 hours, western districts experienced heat above normal. Maximum temperatures above 33 degrees Celsius were recorded in Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, Pali, Bikaner, Barmer, and Jalore.

The highest temperature of 36.3 degrees Celsius was recorded in Barmer, which was about 5 degrees above normal.

Morning and evening chills have also reduced

After intense heat during the day, the mild chill in the morning and evening has also reduced. The minimum temperature in Jaipur was 18.2 degrees Celsius, 19.6 in Barmer, and 20 degrees Celsius in Bikaner.

In addition, minimum temperatures of 17.8 degrees Celsius were recorded in Dungarpur, 17.1 in Pratapgarh, 16.6 in Chittorgarh and Udaipur, 16.3 in Jaisalmer, and 16 degrees Celsius in Jodhpur.
