Heatwave Alert In 3 Himachal Districts; Temperature May Rise By 4°C, Weather Shift Expected

In Himachal Pradesh, the heat will increase today and tomorrow. The Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for a heatwave. This warning has been given to the districts of Una, Bilaspur, and Solan. The Health Department has advised people to take precautions during the daytime in the event of a heatwave. After the heatwave, the temperature is expected to rise by three to four degrees.

The temperature in seven cities of the state has already surpassed 35 degrees, and in 13 places it has crossed 30 degrees. The maximum temperature in Una has reached 40.6 degrees Celsius, which is 1.7 degrees higher than normal. Kangra recorded 37.7 degrees, Sundernagar 37.5 degrees, Nahan 35.8 degrees, Neri 38.4 degrees, Barthi 37 degrees, and Mandi 37.2 degrees. In the next 48 hours, the temperature is likely to rise by three to four degrees Celsius.

The relief is that the heat in the mountains will not last long. According to the Meteorological Department, a western disturbance is becoming active on the night of June 10. In view of this, an alert for heavy rain along with storms, strong winds, and hail has been issued for all 10 districts except Kinnaur and Lahaul-Spiti on June 11 and 12.

Orange alert in these 4 districts, yellow in others

An orange alert has been issued for Kullu, Mandi, Shimla, and Sirmaur districts, while a yellow alert warning has been issued for other districts. During this period, strong winds with a speed of 50 kilometers per hour are forecasted in some areas.

The western disturbance will weaken on June 13 and 14, but rainfall is expected to continue in some parts. In such a case, the temperature will definitely rise tomorrow and the day after, but from June 11, the temperature will start to decrease. This will keep the weather pleasant in the mountains.

Now know the condition of tourist places

In the country’s plains, these days the temperature is between 40 to 50 degrees Celsius. However, in most of the state’s famous tourist destinations, the temperature is between 20 to 30 degrees. On the mountains, this has made the weather pleasant for tourists.

Shimla’s maximum temperature is 27.6 degrees, Manali’s is 28 degrees, Kufri’s is 21.9 degrees, Naranda is 20 degrees Celsius. Meanwhile, in most tourist spots of Lahaul Spiti, the mercury is between 5 to 10 degrees these days.
