Heatwave Alert in 8 Himachal Districts, Rain Likely From Tomorrow

In most parts of Himachal Pradesh, the sun has been shining brightly since this morning. As a result, it has become difficult to go outside after 11 a.m. The Meteorological Department has forecast severe heat today (Wednesday) in eight districts. The IMD has issued a yellow alert for a heatwave in Una, Bilaspur, Hamirpur, Kangra, Solan, Mandi, Shimla, and Sirmaur districts.

In view of this, people have been advised to take precautions. Especially children, the elderly, and pregnant women have been asked to be more cautious. Tomorrow (Thursday) as well, a yellow alert for a heatwave has been issued for Una, Bilaspur, Hamirpur, Solan, and Sirmaur districts. During the day, the heat will trouble these districts too.

The temperature in most cities of the state is already 3 to 4 degrees above normal. The temperature in Una has reached 42.6 degrees Celsius. The relief is that a western disturbance is likely to become active tomorrow afternoon. Its effect will last for the next 72 hours, that is, until May 30.

Orange alert for heavy hailstorm on May 28 and 29

IMD has issued an orange alert for heavy hailstorm and strong winds in the state on May 28 and 29. During this period, strong winds are expected to blow at a speed of 50 kilometers per hour. In some parts of the state, winds may even blow at a speed of 60 kilometers per hour. The strong storm and hailstorm may damage the crops of farmers and horticulturists.

Orange alert in 5 districts tomorrow

On May 28, an orange alert was issued in Chamba, Kangra, Kullu, Mandi, and Shimla districts, while on May 29, an orange alert warning has been issued in Kangra, Kullu, Mandi, and Shimla districts. Yellow alerts have been issued in other districts except Lahaul Spiti and Kinnaur. In this situation, there are chances of relief from severe heat after the rain tomorrow and the day after. On May 30, it may rain in a few areas as well. On May 31 and June 1, the western disturbance will weaken.
