Heatwave in Punjab: Bhagwant Mann Announces 7:30 AM to 1:30 PM Timings for Schools, Offices

Amritsar: Amid rising temperatures and intense heatwave conditions across Punjab, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has officially announced revised timings for all government offices and schools in the state.

ਗਰਮੀ ਨੂੰ ਧਿਆਨ ਵਿਚ ਰੱਖਦਿਆਂ 25 ਮਈ ਦਿਨ ਸੋਮਵਾਰ ਤੋਂ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਦਫ਼ਤਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਸਕੂਲਾਂ, ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਕਲਾਸਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਮਾਂ ਸਵੇਰੇ 7:30 Am ਵਜੇ ਤੋਂ ਦੁਪਹਿਰ 1:30PM ਤੱਕ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ।

Sharing the update through his official social media account, the Chief Minister said that starting Monday, May 25, all government offices and schools, including all classes, will function from 7:30 AM to 1:30 PM. The decision has been taken keeping in view the extreme heat conditions and to ensure the safety and well-being of students, teachers, employees, and the general public.

Punjab, along with several northern states, has been witnessing soaring temperatures over the past few days, with authorities issuing heatwave advisories in multiple districts. The revised schedule is aimed at reducing public exposure during peak afternoon heat hours.
