Heavy rain likely in Punjab for next 3 days, Yellow alert issued

Water level in dams exceeded 75 percent

By 6 am on August 11, 2025, the water level in the major dams built on the Sutlej, Beas and Ravi rivers has reached more than 75 percent of its total capacity. The full filling level of Bhakra Dam located on the Sutlej River is 1685 feet and the capacity is 5.918 MAF.

At this time the level of the dam is 1699.09 feet and the amount of water is 2.048 MAF, which is 76.91 percent of the total capacity. Last year on this day the level was 1629.08 feet and the capacity was 1.156 MAF.
