    High-speed car wreaks havoc in Ludhiana

    Ludhiana: A horrific road accident occurred on the elevated road on Ferozepur Road in Ludhiana on Friday morning. A speeding Swift car lost control and hit a divider and then hit a motorcyclist. Two people were killed in the accident, while a young man was seriously injured. The injured is being treated at DMC Hospital.

    Students were going to college, bike riders were returning from school

    According to reports, three young men were travelling in a Swift car. Meanwhile, 42-year-old Jagdish Kumar was returning home after dropping his children at school. The car was traveling at high speed from Bharat Nagar Chowk towards Tharike. The car lost control on the elevated road in front of Gadvasu Veterinary Hospital. The car first hit the divider and then jumped to the other side, colliding with a motorcycle.

    In the accident, motorcycle rider Jagdish Kumar and car driver Gauransh, a journalism student, died on the spot. Both were taken to the hospital, where doctors declared them dead. Another young man in the car, Charanjot, was seriously injured and admitted to DMC Hospital.

    Family in grief

    Jagdish Kumar worked as a courier boy in a company and was the sole breadwinner of his family. He is survived by his wife and two children. The accident left both children without a father. Gauransh’s father runs a factory, and his mother is a homemaker.

    Eyewitnesses said speed was the cause

    According to people present at the scene, the car was traveling at a very high speed. After hitting the divider, it jumped into the air, landed on the other side, and collided directly with the motorcycle. The impact was so severe that the biker fell to the road and died from serious injuries.

    People took them to the hospital themselves

    After the accident, bystanders informed the police, but when the police arrived late, the people themselves took the injured to DMC Hospital. Doctors declared Gauransh and Jagdish dead and kept their bodies in the mortuary. The bodies will be sent to the Civil Hospital for post-mortem. The relatives of both deceased have arrived at DMC Hospital.

    Police are investigating the incident and the cause of the accident is being investigated.
