High-Tech Ambulances Strengthen Punjab’s Healthcare System; Over 1 Lakh received timely medical aid

Under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the Punjab government has given new impetus to emergency healthcare services. Over the past year, the state’s medical support has been further strengthened by expanding the fleet of GPS-enabled high-tech ambulances.

With the addition of 58 new ambulances in July 2024 and 46 new ambulances in June 2025, the state now has a total of 371 ambulances, ensuring access to every district and village. These state-of-the-art vehicles are equipped with features such as oxygen support, life-saving medications, first aid equipment, and GPS tracking.

The government has set a standard for ambulances to reach patients within 15 minutes in urban areas and 20 minutes in rural areas. Over 100,000 patients have been transported to hospitals through this service. Over 80 babies have also been safely delivered in these ambulances.

Even during emergencies like floods, the government launched innovative initiatives like “Boat Ambulances,” which delivered medicines and relief materials to remote villages.

Chief Minister Mann said, “Our goal is to ensure that no patient in Punjab is deprived of timely medical assistance.” This initiative is not only expanding healthcare services but also instilling confidence in the public that help will now reach every needy person in a timely manner.
