Hijack scare aboard Delhi-bound Air India flight with 250 passengers, plane makes emergency landing in Jaipur

Jaipur: After landing in Jaipur, flight AI 2030 was taken to an isolation bay. Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), local police, and Bomb Disposal Squad (BDDS) personnel began checking the aircraft and passengers’ luggage.

An airport official said the incident was not a bomb threat, but a hijacking hoax. The official said, “It’s too early to comment officially. The matter is under investigation.”

According to preliminary information, an alert was received as the plane approached Indian airspace. Air Traffic Control (ATC) and security agencies were informed, after which the plane was diverted to Jaipur.

According to preliminary information, all passengers and crew on board were safely evacuated and taken to a designated holding area inside the airport terminal.
