Himachal: 300 posts of JOA IT to be filled at Recruitment Directorate, process started

The Himachal Pradesh government has initiated a major staff increase process at the state’s Recruitment Directorate. The government has approved the creation of 300 JOA (IT) positions within the Directorate and filling them as job trainees. According to a government notification, in addition to the creation of these positions, 300 JOA (IT) positions in other departments will be eliminated. This will help balance the financial burden of the new positions. To achieve this, departments have been asked to complete the codal formalities in advance.

Which departments will eliminate JOA (IT) positions?
All appointments will be made at a fixed monthly honorarium of ₹12,500. Health Education and Research 52, HP State Information Commission 2, Corporation 6, DC Office Mandi 6, Information and Public Relations Department 1, Labor, Employment and Overseas Placement 3, Animal Husbandry Department 40, HP Agricultural Produce and Marketing Board 49, Transport Department 4, DC Shimla Office 13, Technical Education Department 4, Tribal Development 13, AYUSH 4, Health and Family Welfare Department 2, Rural Development 63, Hospitality and Protocol 1.

The workforce will increase in the Recruitment Directorate, ensuring smooth functioning.
With the creation of 300 new posts, it is expected that a large number of pending and upcoming recruitment examinations in Himachal will be conducted timely and systematically. This step is considered important in expediting the recruitment process, which has been stalled or slow for some time. According to Recruitment Directorate officials, as soon as all formalities are completed, a notification will be issued to fill 300 JOA IT posts. This will provide employment opportunities to qualified youth in the computer and IT sectors.
