Himachal: Along with plains, hills too started heating up; weather to take turn from this day

With the weather remaining consistently clear in Himachal Pradesh for the past three days, temperatures have begun to rise. This shift in weather patterns is causing residents in both the plains districts and the hilly regions to break into a sweat. Accompanying the rise in maximum temperatures, the mercury has now climbed during the night as well.

On Sunday, the maximum temperature in Dehra Gopipur reached 40.0 degrees Celsius. According to the Meteorological Department, minimum temperatures in several parts of the state are expected to gradually rise by 2–3 degrees Celsius over the next 3–4 days. Simultaneously, maximum temperatures are projected to see a gradual increase of 2–4 degrees Celsius. Today, bright sunshine prevails across the capital, Shimla, as well as other parts of the state.

Prospects of Rain from May 19
According to the Meteorological Centre in Shimla, there is a possibility of light rain or snowfall at isolated locations across the state between May 19 and May 24. Light rain or snowfall may occur in certain high-altitude mountainous regions of the state on May 19, 20, 23, and 24. Additionally, rain is possible in the high and mid-mountainous zones on May 21, and in some parts of the plains on May 22.
