HSSC: Application date extended for the third time for TGT recruitment

The wait for the exam has become longer due to the extension of the application date for the third time in the TGT recruitment issued by the Himachal Pradesh State Selection Commission. Candidates have expressed anger over the repeated extension of the application date. Candidates say that only two thousand additional candidates have applied after extending the application date twice. Whereas most of the candidates who applied have already applied before July 10. The State Selection Commission argues that the application date has been extended in view of the disaster situation in the state, so that no eligible person is deprived of recruitment.

Applications were invited in May for 937 posts of TGT. So far, a total of 65,189 applications have been received for this recruitment. Now candidates can apply online till August 31 pm. Earlier the date of application was fixed till July 3.

It was first extended to 17 and 31 July. The special thing is that about 63 thousand candidates had applied till July 9 itself. After this, the application figure has reached 65,189 till July 30. About two thousand more candidates have increased. 437 posts of TGT Arts, 343 posts of TGT Non Medical and 169 posts of TGT Medical are to be filled. Recruitment advertisement was issued in the month of May.

The disaster affected people have got enough time

Candidates Reena Devi, Rachna Sharma, Kanta Devi, Rahul Sharma, Abhishek Thakur say that the application process is going on for almost two months. The application date was extended twice citing the disaster. People affected by the disaster had got a chance to apply but now the examination is being delayed.

The Directorate of Elementary Education Department had requested the commission to extend the application date. The date has been extended by the commission. Electricity and internet connectivity has not been available in some disaster-affected areas. In such a situation, it is important that eligible candidates do not remain deprived of the examination.
