Himachal: BJP releases names of District Council Candidates, Check Complete List

Himachal Pradesh has released a comprehensive and consolidated list of candidates endorsed for the District Council elections, held under the framework of the Panchayati Raj Institutions and Urban Local Bodies polls. This list was finalized by the State Election Convener, Vipin Singh Parmar, following extensive consultations and organizational deliberations conducted at the Mandal, District, and State levels.

The party clarified that, in the selection of candidates, paramount priority was accorded to loyalty towards the organization, experience in public service, regional balance, and local-level acceptability. Although District Council elections are not contested under a party symbol, the BJP has nevertheless decided to field its own authorized candidates. Conversely, the Congress party will not field its own official candidates; instead, individuals wishing to contest are free to do so.
