Himachal: Cloud burst in Kinnaur, two women missing in Aani due to landslide

Monsoon rains continue to wreak havoc in Himachal Pradesh. Continuous rains have increased the difficulties of people due to landslides and floods at various places. Extensive damage has been reported due to a cloudburst in Lippa of the tribal district Kinnaur on Friday morning. Gardens were washed away in the flood caused by a cloudburst. As soon as the information was received, the administration team left for the spot. Two people were also missing after the cloudburst, but both were later found safe.

Three houses hit by landslide in Aani, two women missing

On the other hand, two women are reported missing after three houses were hit by landslide in Lower Patarna village of Aani. Some cattle have also come under the grip of a landslide. Relief and rescue operations are going on. It has been raining heavily in Aani since last night, due to which most of the rural roads have come to a standstill due to landslides. The administration has declared a holiday in all educational institutions. Apart from this, many houses have reached the danger due to landslides at various places.

635 roads, including Kiratpur-Manali four lane closed due to a landslide

635 roads including two national highways remained closed due to landslide in the state till 10:00 am on Friday. 1,333 electricity transformers and 524 water supply schemes are also affected. Most of the roads are closed in Mandi, Kullu, Chamba and Kangra districts. On the other hand, the Kiratpur-Manali four lane is completely closed since Friday morning. Due to continuous rain since last night and heavy landslides inthe  Kainchi Mor and Banala area, the work of opening the road has not started yet. A large part of the four-lane at Kainchi Mor has completely collapsed, and now more debris and heavy stones have fallen there.
