CM Sukhu spends night with disaster-hit families in Thunag, Orders swift relief measures

Shimla, July 10: Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu spent last night with the disaster-affected people of Seraj Assembly constituency at Thunag Rest House. He shared the pain and suffering of the affected families and assured them that the state government stands firmly with them.

Defies weather warning to stay with victims

The weather department had warned the area of ​​heavy rains after 2 am, in view of which the administration had forbidden the Chief Minister from staying in the area. Nevertheless, the Chief Minister spent the night with the affected families.

Biggest relief camp set up in Thunag

Let us tell you that after the disaster in Mandi, the administration has set up the biggest relief camp in Thunag Vishram Grih, in which 130 disaster-affected people have taken shelter. The Chief Minister first talked to these affected people, enquired about their well-being and also personally inspected the facilities being made available to them.

Strict instructions to officials

The Chief Minister clarified that the state government is committed to providing all possible help to the disaster-affected people. He also gave a message to the administrative officials that any kind of negligence in relief and rehabilitation work will not be tolerated.

He directed all the concerned departments to show promptness in relief and rescue operations and to provide the benefits of government schemes to the affected people quickly.
