Himachal: Gypsy vehicle plunges into Manalsu Nallah; two youths die, three injured

Two young men died, and three others were injured in a tragic road accident late Friday night in the Old Manali area of ​​the tourist town of Manali. The accident occurred near Club House when a Jimny vehicle went out of control, plunged into a gorge about 20 feet deep, and landed in the Manalsu Nullah (stream).

According to the police, Jayant Tiwari, a hotel manager and resident of Jhalori (Almora district, Uttarakhand), heard a loud crash around 1:00 AM. Upon reaching the scene, he found a black Jimny (HP-26A-0011) lying in the Manalsu Nullah below the road.

Two individuals—32-year-old Rohit Kumar from Jhiri (Mandi district) and Karun Bauddh from Bajaura (Kullu district)—died on the spot. Meanwhile, the other occupants of the vehicle—Vivek, Naresh Kumar, and Urmila—sustained injuries. All three have been admitted to the hospital, where they are undergoing treatment.

Confirming the incident, DSP KD Sharma stated that the police have registered a case and initiated an investigation into the cause of the accident. Preliminary inquiries are underway to determine how the vehicle lost control and fell into the gorge.
