3 dead, 2 injured after Alto car falls into 300-meter gorge in Mandi’s Seraj area

Mandi, August 4: An Alto car met with an accident in Seraj of Mandi district in Himachal Pradesh late on Sunday night. 3 people died in this accident, while 2 people are said to be injured. The injured have been admitted to the nearby Janjehli hospital. From here both have been referred to Nerchowk Medical College.

According to the information, this accident happened late on Sunday night, but it was reported in the morning. When people passed by, they saw the road wall collapsed. After this, the police reached the spot, and the injured were brought to the hospital. The postmortem of the bodies of the three deceased is being done in Janjheli today. After this, the bodies will be handed over to the relatives.

Car fell into a 300-meter-deep ditch

The Alto car numbered HP-87-1117 fell into a deep ditch about 300 meters below the road. Maneli Dev Dutt, Mangal Chand and Yashpal died on the spot. Guman Singh and Labh Singh are said to be seriously injured.

Police are investigating the matter

The reasons for the accident have not been ascertained yet. It is believed that this accident happened due to the collapse of the road. It is being told that the five people were returning home at night from the apple season. Their age is said to be between 36 to 42 years.

SP Mandi Sakshi Verma has confirmed the case. He said that Janjheli police station received information about a car accident near Magrugala on Chhatri Road.
