Himachal: Mega walkathon in Hamirpur against drug abuse; CM Sukhu flags off

As part of the Himachal Pradesh government’s anti-drug campaign, a mega walkathon was organized on Tuesday, led by Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu. Hundreds of people participated in the mega walkathon. In the morning, Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu arrived at the ground of Boys Senior Secondary School and inaugurated the walkathon.

During the event, he administered an oath to the participants to stay away from drugs. Before the walkathon began, the artists of the police’s renowned orchestra, ‘Harmony of Pines,’ boosted the morale of the participants.

The mega walkathon, led by Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, started from the grounds of Shaheed Captain Mridul Sharma Memorial Boys Senior Secondary School and proceeded through Nadaun Chowk, Gandhi Chowk, the main market, Bhota Chowk, and Hathli Khadd Bridge, finally concluding at the police grounds in Dosarka.

The Chief Minister addressed the participants there. During the walkathon, traffic in Hamirpur city was completely stopped, and all vehicles were diverted to the bypass from Anu, Pakka Bharo, and Mattansiddh.
