Nature’s fury in Kullu: 1 died due to landslide, 8 members buried under debris

Heavy rains and landslides continue to wreak havoc in Himachal Pradesh. A landslide has occurred in which a house in the Nirmand development block of Kullu district collapsed at midnight. On September 9, at around 2 am, a large landslide suddenly occurred from a hill in Sharmini village of Gram Panchayat Ghatu, and about 8 people, including five members of the same family, were buried under the debris. Nirmand SDM Manmohan Singh has confirmed the matter.

3 people rescued, 4 still missing

According to information, a total of eight people, including 5 members of a family, were buried in this accident. The body of one of them has been recovered, while the three injured have been taken out and sent to the hospital. 4 people are still reported missing. There is an atmosphere of panic in the village after the incident and people are completely scared.

The local administration has been informed, and people themselves are engaged in relief and rescue operations. The situation has become more serious due to heavy rains in the area. The administration has appealed to the people to take shelter in safe places and remain alert.

According to information received from Gram Panchayat Bhoga Ram Premi, the entire family of Shivaram has been affected in this incident. A total of 8 members have been affected in this accident and out of them, the body of Revati Devi (wife of Shivaram) has been recovered.

While Chunni Lal, his wife Anjana, five-year-old son Bhupesh, and seven-year-old daughter Jagriti are missing in the debris. Shivaram, Dharam Das and his wife Kala Devi have been injured in the accident.
