Private Bus Rolls Into Ravine in Chamba, Himachal; One Woman Seriously Injured

Chamba: A major accident was averted this morning in Himachal Pradesh’s Chamba district. A private bus rolled down a ravine, approximately 50 feet from the road, near Samot in the Bhatiyat area.

20 Passengers Onboard

Around 20 passengers were on board at the time of the accident. One woman sustained serious injuries and has been referred to Tanda Medical College.

The private bus, operating on the Samot-Dadariada route, was reportedly parked at a crossing near the taxi stand in Samot town. The driver was not on board at the time of the accident, and due to the steep terrain, the bus rolled into the ravine on its own.

As the bus rolled off the road, passengers screamed and chaos ensued. However, the relief is that most passengers suffered minor injuries.

Local Residents Rushed to Help
