Shimla: The Himachal Pradesh government on Wednesday issued orders assigning additional responsibilities to two senior IAS officers in the interest of public administration.

According to a notification issued by the Department of Personnel, the Governor of Himachal Pradesh has directed that the officers will hold the additional charge of the departments/posts assigned to them with immediate effect until further orders.

Ashish Singhmar Given Animal Husbandry Department Charge

Under the new orders, Ashish Singhmar (IAS: 2008), currently serving as Secretary (Digital Technologies & Governance), Secretary to the Chief Minister (II), Secretary (GAD, SAD, SWD and Parliamentary Affairs), and Secretary of the Human Rights Commission, has been entrusted with the additional charge of Secretary (Animal Husbandry) to the Government of Himachal Pradesh.

Amarjeet Singh Gets Home Department Responsibility

The government has also assigned Amarjeet Singh (IAS: 2010), presently Secretary (Cooperation) and Secretary (Town and Country Planning & Housing), the additional charge of Secretary (Home) to the Government of Himachal Pradesh.

Home Secretary to Function Under ACS (Home)

The notification further clarified that while holding the charge of Secretary (Home), Amarjeet Singh will work under the overall supervision and control of the Additional Chief Secretary (Home) to the Government of Himachal Pradesh.

The orders have come into effect immediately and will remain in force until further directions from the state government.
