Himachal Pradesh Weather: Dry Spell Till March 5, Temperatures 4–6°C Above Normal Across State

Shimla: The weather in Himachal Pradesh is expected to remain mainly dry and clear from February 28th to March 5th. According to the Meteorological Department, skies will remain clear in most of the plains and mid-hill areas, including the capital Shimla. Temperatures will rise during this period, resulting in a mild heatwave during the day across the state.

No Major Impact from Western Disturbance

The Meteorological Department had earlier predicted light rain or snowfall in higher reaches and major hill stations. However, most parts of the state remained clear.

Light snowfall or drizzle is still possible in isolated higher-altitude regions such as:

• Lahaul and Spiti district

• Kinnaur district

• Kullu district

• Chamba district

around March 2 and 3. However, no significant weather changes are expected.

Outlook for Coming Days

The IMD has indicated that dry and sunny conditions will continue across plains and mid-mountain districts such as Shimla, Kangra, Mandi, Una and Solan. With temperatures consistently above normal, mild daytime heat is expected to intensify gradually in the coming days.

No major rainfall activity is forecast till March 5, and clear weather is likely to persist across Himachal Pradesh.
