Himachal Pradesh Weather Update: Rain, Snowfall Forecast in High Mountains

Shimla: The weather in Himachal Pradesh is expected to change starting today (Friday). According to the latest forecast from the Meteorological Center, Shimla, light rain and snowfall may occur at some places in the high mountainous regions of the state today and tomorrow (February 27 and 28). This could increase the cold in the high altitude areas.

The Meteorological Department stated that the weather will remain dry in the central and lower mountainous regions for the time being. Partly cloudy skies are possible in these areas, but there is no possibility of heavy rainfall. Light rain and snowfall are also expected in the higher mountainous regions on March 3 and 4, while the weather is expected to remain normal in other areas.

Cold may increase in the morning and night

A slight drop in temperatures is also possible. Minimum and maximum temperatures are expected to decrease by 2 to 5 degrees Celsius, particularly in the high mountains and adjacent mid-mountain areas. This could increase the cold in the morning and night.

Temperatures were higher than normal in February

The Meteorological Department has not issued any serious warnings for the coming days. Clear weather is forecast for all districts. Meanwhile, temperatures in the state have already risen above normal in February.
