Himachal Weather Update: Clear Skies for Two Days, Rain and Hail Expected from May 11

The weather in Himachal Pradesh will remain clear for the next two days. According to the Meteorological Department, the weather across the state will remain dry today and tomorrow. During this period, people, especially farmers and gardeners, will get relief from rain. However, this relief will not last long, as the IMD forecast indicates that from May 11, a western disturbance will become active in the state again, which will bring a change in the weather.

According to the Shimla weather forecast, during May 11 to 14, there is a possibility of rain, storms, lightning, and hail in several districts of the state. According to IMD, its impact is expected to be the strongest on May 12 and 13. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for Una, Bilaspur, Hamirpur, Chamba, Kangra, Kullu, Mandi, Shimla, Solan, and Sirmaur districts for May 11.

Hailstorm alert in some areas

In these regions, there is a possibility of rain with thunder and lightning and strong winds at speeds of 40 to 50 kilometers per hour. Meanwhile, the weather may worsen on May 12. An alert has been issued in these districts for strong storms, lightning, winds at speeds of 50 to 60 kilometers per hour, and hail in some areas.

Chances of light snowfall in high-altitude areas

The impact of strong winds can also be seen in Kinnaur and Lahaul-Spiti. Additionally, on May 13, rain and strong winds are likely to continue in the central and lower hilly areas of the state. There are also chances of light snowfall in high-altitude areas.

Farmers and horticulturists advised remaining alert

On May 14, the weather may remain bad in some places. The meteorological department has advised farmers and horticulturists to remain alert. Strong winds and hail can damage crops. Necessary precautions have been advised for this.
