Himachal Road Accident: Car plunges into a ravine; three dead, including two women; two injured

Three people died and two were injured in a tragic road accident in Himachal Pradesh’s Chamba district on Saturday. A car veered off the road and plunged several feet into the Ghator Nallah (ravine) on the Urei-Sambra route.

Three occupants of the car died on the spot, while two others sustained serious injuries. The victims included two women and the driver. The cause of the accident is not yet known.

Cause of accident under investigation: SP
Upon receiving information about the incident, police and rescue teams rushed to the scene. The injured have been taken to the hospital for initial treatment. Confirming the incident, Superintendent of Police (SP) Vijay Saklani stated that a police team was dispatched to the site immediately after the report was received.

Relief and rescue operations are underway, and the cause of the accident is being investigated. The police are working to identify the deceased and the injured while also trying to ascertain the cause of the crash.

Six people killed in Shimla 

Six people were killed after a pickup vehicle carrying milk plunged into a deep gorge in the Urman area under Taklech police outpost in Himachal Pradesh’s Shimla district on Friday, officials said.

The accident occurred when the pickup vehicle bearing registration number HP06B-2420 met with an accident and fell into a deep gorge. All six occupants of the vehicle died on the spot in the tragic mishap.

Soon after receiving information about the incident, police, along with the local administration, rushed to the accident site. With the assistance of residents, rescue teams carried out operations and retrieved the bodies from the gorge. The bodies were later shifted to a nearby hospital for post-mortem examination.
