Himachal: 26 teachers from schools and 6 teachers from colleges to get state level award, list released

26 school teachers of Himachal Pradesh will get state state-level award. The government has selected these teachers in three categories of general, special and tough tribal awards. On September 5, the Governor, Chief Minister and Education Minister will award the selected teachers. A state-level function will be held at the State Guest House, Peterhoff Shimla. These teachers have been selected on the basis of presentations and interviews held in the past days.

According to the notification, under the category of general award, teachers will be honored for their services in regular areas. These include Ajay Singh Garhjamula (Kangra), Anita Chaudhary Serathana (Kangra), Devendra Singh Chauhan, PM Shri School Rohru, Seema Devi Sandhu (Shimla), Umesh Kumar Morla (Mandi), Gurudas Ram Jhungi (Mandi). The teachers to be honored in the category of general award (tribal/inaccessible area) include Girdhari Lal Tindi (Lahaul-Spiti), Yog Raj Nigulsari (Kinnaur), Jeevan Bala PM Shri School Mahla (Chamba) and Vivek Bhardwaj Manal Dochi (Sirmaur).

Awards in the category of special award
The teachers who received awards in the category of special award include Dr Manjula Sharma Shimla, Deepika Jandik Shamror (Solan), Kuldeep Negi Principal DIET (Kinnaur), Kailash Sharma Samloti (Kangra), Shishupal Sarahan (Sirmaur) and Maya Ram Sarahan (Sirmaur). Apart from this, Geetika Negi Shimla, Surendra Sharma Kulal (Chamba), Meena Devi Bajyad (Halog) Shimla, Baraj Kumar Dumaihar (Solan), Paramjit Singh Bhated (Bilaspur), Jeevan Singh Himgiri (Chamba) and Shrishti Sharma Premnagar (Sirmaur) will also be awarded.

These teachers will be honored at the college level

One college principal and five lecturers from Himachal will also be given the state level teacher award. The state government has decided to give awards at the college level for the first time. Hamirpur College Principal Dr Pramod Kumar Patial has been selected in the category of principals. In the Professor category, Dr Arun Kumar from Bilaspur College, Dr Jagdish Chand from Nahan College, Dr Kirti Singha from Sanjauli College, Dr Naresh Kumar Sharma from Dharamshala College and Dr Vikas Nathan from Theog College have been selected for the State Level Teacher Award.
